What MT4 has to provide

The terminal is the perch: like the kestrel that hangs still in the wind and acts once, the connection cannot go down mid-basket.

• A hedging account at any broker, so opposite positions can be open on the same symbol.
• One chart per pair and variant, in a terminal that stays online; a VPS is the usual way.
• Enough leverage for your level: at 1:500, the worst moment of the EURUSD Patient record (21 August 2024, simulated) used €1,092 of margin, and on the recommended €8,500 the margin level stood at 523% — far above the levels at which a broker stops an account out (20% on a Standard STP account, 50% on Raw and ECN ones, at the broker where our demo accounts run).

Kestrel EA is a grid expert advisor for MetaTrader 4: it opens from its own signal, adds to the basket in small, capped steps when price moves against it, and closes the whole basket together at its target; until the basket closes, the loss is floating. It is offered for EURUSD, GBPUSD, EURCAD and AUDCAD: choose your pairs — 1 to 4 — then Patient, Active or both for each, one set file per chart. Patient adds to a basket less often and holds a smaller worst case; Active adds more often, returned more in the backtest and reached a larger worst case.

What you choose

• Pairs: choose your pairs — 1 to 4 of EURUSD, GBPUSD, EURCAD and AUDCAD — then Patient, Active or both for each. Patient adds to a basket less often and holds a smaller worst case; Active adds more often, returned more in the backtest and reached a larger worst case.
• Portfolio: K3, K1 or Full portfolio, each with its own set files per level.
• Level: Horizon €999, Summit €4,999 or Zenith €9,999 per year, VAT included — same rules, starting lot ×1, ×5 or ×10, and recommended capital scaled by the same factor.

From there the steps are five: choose your pairs and variants, choose the level whose recommended capital fits your account, buy the licence, install on your MT4 on a VPS and load the set files of your level, then follow the record.
